Columnist/blogger in the Les Affaires magazine, René Vézina has been practicing journalism for more than 30 years. He was the editor of the magazine from 2002 to 2005 and previously headed the Revue Commerce. He also hosted the show Finances on the TVA network for three years. A graduate of Laval University in journalism and political science, he began his career in 1977 as a radio and TV journalist for Radio-Canada in the Gaspé Peninsula, before moving on to the national network in Montreal. He then turned to science journalism, which led him to focus on the economy, his current field of expertise. He is still working in radio with a daily spot, in the morning and the afternoon, on 98.5 FM in Montreal, in addition to making frequent collaborations with various radio stations across Quebec. He published in the fall of 2008 the guide “Comment parler aux médias” (how to speak with the media), by Éditions Transcontinental. His ongoing challenge: make the economy understandable in our day-to-day lives.
